Arbitrations:

**NOTICE:   Always, file a grievance on any disciplinary action taken by the company.
If a fellow union member is subpoenaed or called to testify by the company at
anytime, they should call the union hall to find out if they are legally obligated
before making any testimony and/or statement against a fellow union member.

Grievances:

Marvin Bair filed a grievance concerning the company's refusal to allow time off for his medical
condition & in not considering his disability benefits, & the unsafe hazard to company created by
forcing him on the job during this time.

Events:

A lay-off was announced by the Ethyl Corporation on March 8, 2001, of 50 PACE members
The Union and the Company negotiated a lay-off agreement which was voted in by the
membership on March 29, 2001.  However, there is a difference of interpretations between the
the union and the company concerning the Lay-Off Agreement.

The Contract between Ethyl Corporation & the Union will expire effective November 1, 2001 &
the union will be sending out the necessary paper work to open negotiations on July 1, 2001.  At
this time there is a need for a new Vice-President as a union representative for the Ethyl Unit.

Remember this is your contract & it takes more than just your union committee to make a successful
negotiation.  In order for negotiations to be successful each & every member should stay informed,
attend union meetings, & be supportive of any & all decisions made by the membership while on the
job.

Bulletins:

It's been reported that we have union brothers and/or sisters detailing as foreman and
causing other union brothers or sisters to be drafted on overtime.  PACE, Local 4-6000,
believes it's our OBLIGATION to watch out for each other and NEVER detail as Foreman
if it causes a Union Brother or Sister to be drafted on overtime.

Meeting Schedules:

2nd Tuesday of Every Month - 6:15 p.m. at 2107 Red Bluff, Pasadena, TX
